How does pollution affect the environment?

Pollution affects our enviorment in mainly a negative way. When pollution from chemicals runoff, or cars enters our enviorment it really afftects what can live in that evnviorment. Espically in a stream or watershed eviorment pollution affects t he macroinvertebrats that can live there do to their different levels of tolerance. Because if you have animals living in an eviorment with little to no tolerance i t can that you have a healthy non contaminated eviorment. But if you only have tolerant animals/organisms in an eviorment it usually means it isn't a healthy eviorment because only tolerant things can live there. That is one way how pollution is bad for our enviorment.

Pollution is one of the most unnatural, dirty, disgusting things our environment has. We release pollutants in many more ways than we think. The obvious ones are; air pollution from cars and smokestacks, water pollution from factories dumping their chemicals in a river, and litter (mainly plastics and papers) that we throw away carelessly. However, there are ways that are less obvious yet have the same profound effect. For example, whenever a farmer uses fertilizers in his crops, rainwater can wash it into the groundwater table and cause huge alage blooms when it hits open water, choking out fish and other wildlife. Construction sites, if not properly maintained, can release oil from their machines or have sediment from the exposed dirt wash away into sewer drains, which makes its way back into our water.

Pollution can affect the enviornment in many differrent ways. All of these are negative. Pollution kills plant and animal species everywhere. It is the cause of global warming too. We need to stop polluting so that our world can be a healthier place.

Pollution affects the enviornment in many ways. All of them are negative. Pollution kills many different plant and animal species. Pollution is also the cause of global warming. Such animal and plant species could be vital to our environment and it would be a great loss if they were extinced. We need to try not to pollute so our world can be a healthier place.

Pollution may be terrible to the environment. If a factory creates smoke, then the air surrounding the factory becomes polluted. Organisms cannot live with polluted air. If an organism were to breath the polluted air, it could clog up their lungs, creatng various medical problems. Factories can also have toxic waste, such as Avtex used to, and nuclear electricity plants do now. We should try our best to prevent too much waste from getting into the environment, because if we don't the envirnment organisms and animals could die, including us.

Pollution can be bad for the environment. Chemicals not treated properly could leak into the ground, polluting groundwater. If you throw trash into a river it could pollute drinking water and kill fish and other organisims. Cars and gas can pollute the air all around us. We need to keep our environment clean and help eliminate pollution.

Pollution affects our enviroment in many negative ways. It makes our Earth's life spand shorter and shorter. Chemicals released into air and our water, it makes nature hard to survive. And AC also makes the troposphere hotter and hotter. Not only that, but also the releasing chemicals makes the o-zone layer thinner and thinner. Spilling chemicals into our rivers, lakes, and oceans, etc etc pollute the water. It hurts the organisms in the water, and it can also poison us in turn.

Poisoning nature poisons us.

Pollution can effect the environment in many ways, harming organism that try to eat it, destroying the habitats of the, or make the habitats impossible to live in by introducing chemicals that the organisms cannot live with or taking chemicals away from the environment that the organisms cannot live without.

Well, pollution by definition is a negative effect on the environment. Whether it's oil spills or litter , pollution is bad. It harms the animals that inhabit the polluted area and makes other places( like beaches) yucky to be around. Not to mention all the damage we cause to the atmosphere in the meantime.

Hmmm....
Polution is actually more harmful to the environment then we think it is, because it doesn't only effect humans, but also mammals, anphibians (or however you spell it), and reptiles. while polution for humans is creating smog over large cities, causing poor air circulation, or polluting streams and rivers, on a larger scale, we are causing global warming, which causes the melting of glaciers in alaska, which could, in the far future, lead to the oceans overflowing to cover large parts of the 7 continents. we are poisoning ourselves by using fossil fuels to power our trasportation, smokestacks on factories, and releasing waste and trash into our oceans.

and you know, the fish need to live too.
